The NWLA is currently taking a poll on the top Wiffleball columnist for 2013. Although I do not believe that the poll will determine the actual winner, the feedback will most likely be taken into consideration for the decision.
All of the other nominees are veterans with a long resume in a league with active members. As soon as this poll was released, a couple of them received several votes. I'm not sure who has voted for me, but I'm starting to catch up, so I thank you if you have.
From what I can tell, you do not have to be a registered member to vote, but you can only vote once per device. I was able to vote once on my cell phone and once from my laptop, so yes, I voted for myself twice.
Although I would feel personal satisfaction from winning the award, I am more concerned with recognition for the SRL, so please vote for me if you believe I am worthy--and spread the word via Twitter/Facebook.
If it is decided that another individual wrote better columns in 2013, then I am fine with that; I just don't want to lose because I'm the new kid on the block.
